COACHES PROFILE: Telly Lockette
Lockette’s playing career began in Florida at Miami Northwestern Senior Community High. Lockette then played at Idaho State University where he was a standout linebacker and team leader. Lockette spent six years as the offensive coordinator for his high school alma mater, winning a state championship in 2006. Lockette manned the sidelines as a head coach for the first time in 2008 for Miami Central Senior H.S., Northwestern’s crosstown rival. Miami Central is coming off of a successful 2009 campaign under Lockette’s leadership, advancing to the Class 6A state semifinals.
